Happy Mothers Day

Hello My Lovelies,

Sorry my post is late this week, but I didn’t have the best day Friday and I didn’t have a post scheduled.

Although, considering the theme of todays post it has kind of worked out for the best.

My mum is my best friend, as well as being the most supportive mother, I could have ever been blessed with.

I thought I would share with you some things my mum has taught me, that I believe have been really beneficial, the older I get.

 ~ STRENGTH ~

My mum has been through a lot & she always comes out on top, being as positive as ever. I believe there is no one out there who could define the word strength other then her & when I think of strength I automatically think about my mum. I am so happy to have been surrounded by such positivity whilst growing up.

~ HONESTY ~

Honesty, is one of the most important things in all relationships. I have never felt as though I’m unable to talk to my mum & I hope she feels as though she can be honest with me.

~ MANNERS ~

I mean, this one is pretty self explanatory. We’re all taught manners in the first stages of socialisation. But I definitely think this is something that needs to be mentioned.

~ NATURAL BEAUTY ~

This is one thing my mum does not lack, as much as she believes she does. She is a right stunner, whether she’s dressed up or in her pyjamas because she’s ill. She’s beautiful & its a real compliment when people say they can tell I’m her daughter or that I look like her.

~ WELCOMING ~

My mum will literally welcome anyone with open arms, when she first met Jay, she welcomed him liked she’d known him for years and thats the same with Paige.

~ PRIDE ~

My mum takes pride in everything she owns, mainly her house & the garden, you can definitely see this when you walk into our house, everything is well kept, taken care of  & you can see a lot of time and effort has gone into it.

~

There are plenty more things that I could say about my mum & how amazing she is, although I think I will leave it as this!!

How about you comment below the thing you love most about your mum or your favourite memory with them.

Mothers Day on a Budget

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you’re all doing well!!

So if your mum is anything like mine she deserves so much more than just a bunch of flowers.

My mum is my rock, my best friend and she has made me the woman I am proud to be today. I wish I could afford to get her a designer bag & her own island … but unfortunately I’m not the best with saving/not spending any money.

So I’ve come up with a quick little gift guide for the girl/guy on a budget. I know my mum would love the stuff I’ve included in this list, so I hope this helps some of you guys struggling out there to decide what to get your mum for mothers day.

One thing I would say is a personalised gift is always a winner!! Whether its a family photo, a personalised calendar or a pack of vouchers saying you’ll do a list of things once without moaning. Your mum will definitely appreciate the effort. Photobox is my favourite website for creating personalised gifts.

Obviously I’m aware not all mums are the same, so tastes may differ. These are just a few of my ideas for those girls/guys out there trying to make it through the month.

There are a few cheeky little discount codes for boutique of Molly and coconut lane below, so if you chose one of those gifts you can even save some more money.

Roadtrip; Destination – Devon

Hello My Lovelies,

How are you all doing this evening??

Today I thought I would share with you a little blog post about mine and jays road trip to Devon.

We went to Devon to go and see Jay’s Nan. We stayed for around 3 days and we had a lovely time. The weather wasn’t the best, however it could have been a lot worse.

The journey was about 4 hours long and as you can see from the photos, the weather changed so quickly it was as if someone was switching it on and off.

We drove down to Devon on Saturday morning and we arrived at around 5pm. We sat and had a cup of tea with jays nan Pat before we headed down to the local pub to watch the Arsenal v Liverpool game. I am the Gooner and Jay supports Liverpool so its always quite funny watching those games together, although I must admit Jay was a little smug after the results.

Afterwards we headed to a local chip shop, as you can guess there are quite a few in Devon. However ‘Squires’ is one of the best chippy’s I have ever been too.

On Sunday we went shopping, much to Jay’s disappointment. He had promised me a trip to Primark though, so it’s kind of his fault. I got a few bits but the shopping is nowhere near as good in Barnstaple as it is in good ol’ luton.

IMG_1071After shopping we got a bite to eat in Wetherspoons and then went for a drive by the sea. At this point the wind was absolutely ridiculous, I tried to open the door which swung open so wide I wasn’t able to close it. When I managed to finally close the door I then shut my hair in it, as a little person I struggle with strong winds like that …

Later that night Pat took us out for the most amazing carvery. We had a wonderful night. fullsizeoutput_6f2IMG_1073On Monday Jay wanted to take me to Ilfracombe to show me around. It wasn’t the best of days for the weather, it was just raining non stop. So to no surprise we went to get some breakfast in another Wetherspoons, although we were 6 minutes too late to get anything from the breakfast menu, this did not sit well with me.IMG_1078fullsizeoutput_6f3When the rain started to calm down we took a walk by the side of the sea. I wasn’t too keen on the idea of walking up this hill at first but I was actually so taken aback by the views, I had to continue to the top by the flag. Even though the weather was still pretty gloomy it was gorgeous.

We also went to the arcades and probably spent way too much money on silly little games, but on the plus side I won a teddy on the claw machine, unfortunately it wasn’t the darthvader one Jay wanted.

Due to the weather, we ended up taking cover and we played a couple of games of bowling and pool.

Squires was so good the first time, we had to go back for a 2nd, eat in meal.

Tuesday morning we started our 4 hour journey home. Id never seen Stonehenge before so he decided we’d take a drive by.fullsizeoutput_70efullsizeoutput_6f6fullsizeoutput_6f7fullsizeoutput_70dfullsizeoutput_70cfullsizeoutput_70ffullsizeoutput_6fbfullsizeoutput_710fullsizeoutput_711fullsizeoutput_713fullsizeoutput_714fullsizeoutput_715fullsizeoutput_716fullsizeoutput_717fullsizeoutput_720fullsizeoutput_762fullsizeoutput_760fullsizeoutput_764fullsizeoutput_766fullsizeoutput_768fullsizeoutput_76cfullsizeoutput_76efullsizeoutput_781fullsizeoutput_772fullsizeoutput_776fullsizeoutput_778fullsizeoutput_77eIMG_1135fullsizeoutput_750fullsizeoutput_77cIMG_1149IMG_1156IMG_1158IMG_1159

February Favourites 2017

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you’re all doing well!!

Today I thought I would share my February favourites with you. When I say favourites I mean fashion, beauty and everything left over.

Remember to let me know in the comments below what your favourites of February have been!!

Lets just jump straight in, shall we?

….

Healthcare

Soap & Glory – Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk

The smell, the texture, the cleanse … Oh WOW. I have no words. This is why Soap & Glory are one of my favourite brands.

Mario Badescu – Facial Spray

I have to say this is one of those products that ‘Youtube made me buy’ (&Paige). I absolutely love this product and I am looking to purchase some more. Have any of you guys got any suggestions??

Nivea – Moisturiser

Unfortunately, due to my extremely dry skin, moisturiser is a must have for me. I haven’t been using this for too long however it seems to really help with targeting the dry areas.

Make-Up

Make-Up Revolution – Ultimate Blush & Light & Contour Palette

I absolutely love this palette the colours included are so gorgeous. Obviously, it’s quite a large palette so its not the best for travelling but its definitely one of my favourites.

Makeup Obsession – Highlight [Moon]

This has to be my favourite drugstore highlight, its amazing!

It’s only £3 and it makes me look like a disco ball. I LOVE IT!!

Benefit – Roller Lash

When I asked for this I wasn’t too sure how I would get on but I’m loving it. The brush is great and the product isn’t clumpy at all.

Clothes

New Look – Boots

I have always been and will always be a boots type of girl. These boots are so comfortable and they go with everything. I have been wearing them none stop.

fullsizeoutput_688

Primark – Night Dress

This dress is huge and it still feels quite christmassy. However none of this matter because I can’t sop wearing it. Obviously, with it being Primark it wasn’t pricey either.

 Miscellaneous

I was here – Gayle Forman

I read this book in about 4 days. It’s such a heartwarming book and it’s so easy to read.

When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question. – http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18879761-i-was-here

Youtube

Just Jodes & Vania Fernandes – Vlog Channels

I love youtube and I probably spend way too much time watching different creators. When I come across a new You tuber I quite often continually watch their videos for a while, so I often have new favourites.

This month my favourites are Just Jodes & Vania Fernandes. They’ve just moved in together and their vlogs are so funny and their homeware taste is stunning.

….

So there are my favourites of February 2017.

I hope you enjoyed todays blog post!!!

My Plan

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you’re all doing well, It is Friday after all!!!

I’ve had a slight realisation this week. I often tell myself I should do this that and the other to improve my lifestyle & fitness. However I am not the best at sticking to a challenge.

Ive decided to give myself a couple of challenges. A lot of them I would like to become habits however there may be one or two of them that don’t stick, but I’m definitely ok with that, just creating one habit that may improve my lifestyle will mean I’ve succeeded.

b85fa7ab5577fc838ac4b931537b3e7b

What I want you to do is think of a little challenge you could do … whether its for a week or a month. Challenge yourself to do something that may change your outlook on life & let me know how it goes. How can you improve yourself?

I wanted to share my little goals with you because I want to challenge myself and if I share the experience with you, I can hopefully help some of you guys reach a goal whether its big or small. No matter how hard it may be, with enough hard work and dedication you WILL SUCCEED.

So the worst habit I have gotten into is not giving myself a lot of time to get ready in the morning. I am not a morning person and I don’t think I ever have been. I start work at 8.30, my taxi picks me up at 8.05 and I often only get out of bed at 7.50. So as you can imagine, I just throw on some clothes, clean my teeth and run out the door. Which isn’t the best start to my day because I don’t get to properly wake up before work.

My plan is to wake up each morning at 7 (latest 7.20 am), get some breakfast, a cuppa coffee and do my make up. This way I will get a much better start to my day.

cc8b70097682294943bec451695f7d31

Following on from this, one reason I probably struggle getting up in the morning is probably because I go to bed way too late. Can you remember when you hated having a bed time when you were still at school? I kind of wish that was still the case. Thats just another reason I don’t like being an adult.

I’m giving myself a bedtime! I know I’m 20 years old and I’m telling myself I need to go to bed by 11, but if that helps to start my morning off in the right way then, I’m definitely up for it.

I absolutely love reading. I definitely read more in the summer for some reason, Ive been known to sit and read a whole book in a day if I get into it.

A little challenge I want to give myself is to read before I go to bed, whether its a page to a chapter. I want to start reading more.

In school I would make excuses after excuses as to why I couldn’t run, I avoided it like the plague. I find it very hard to do with my anxiety. However, for Jay it is quite important to keep his fitness up so he goes out running, since being with Jay I have built enough confidence to go running. It started with going running with him and now I can do it without him.

I want to challenge myself to go running twice a week.

instagram-sd-running-03

I have struggled for a while trying to pass my driving theory test. I always fail by about 1 or 2 points. I do not test well at all. There is nothing more I want at the moment than to pass my theory test and I will pass it!

I will revise for at least an hour every night.

Everyone has their weaknesses when it comes to food & drink. Whether its chocolate, crisps, biscuits or even alcohol. I think mine would definitely be fizzy drinks, I drink way too many fizzy drinks, its probably not doing my teeth any good.

Im going to cut out fizzy drinks {My only exception is when I eat out or have a take away}.

unknown

I’ll be sure to let you know how well I do with this in the near future.

I hope you enjoyed my post today! Have a great weekend guys.

24 Days of ASOS {Christmas Calendar}

Hello My Lovelies,

Im sorry its been so long again. Im trying I really am, Promise!!

I have decided I need to become more organised with my blog, so after a bit of thinking and with a few chats with Jay & Paige. I have decided that this is my last Sunday post and from now on I will be posting on a Friday.

I actually feel quite sad writing my last 24 days of ASOS Christmas Calendar. Obviously we are in February now, I think I’ve just been trying to drag it out as long as I can because I’ve been enjoying it so much.

So lets jump straight in … Shall we?!

21.

Number 21 in the ASOS Christmas Calendar had to be one of my favourites in the whole calendar.  It was the Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer, this is basically just a hair mask that you put on wet hair for about 20 minutes before you wash it off and go on with your usual routine.

It adds so much texture and shine to my hair, as well as making it super soft.

This product with the Nuxe Multi purpose oil is just AMAZING!! This has become a bit of a weekly pamper session for me it has definitely become a real important part of my hair care routine.

These 2 products have made such a difference to my hair, I just can’t praise them enough.

fullsizeoutput_605

Recommended!!!

22.

Number 22 is the Firming Fiji Facial Oil for dry/sensitive skin.

I was very wary about this product because I wasn’t sure how to feel about using oil on my face, as I can have days were my skin is considerably oily.

This was a real surprise to me, I used this product and it became a real life saver at times.

Unfortunately, I really struggle with dry and sensitive skin so using this, especially in the colder months, has really helped my skin.

This gets rid of the dry patches and provides a lovely soft moisturised feeling. After Ive rubbed the oil in, I will then go in with a bit of cotton wool to wipe the excess of my face.

fullsizeoutput_5a9

Try Me

23.

I received the Model Co Lip enhancer. Which doesn’t actually state what colour it is … however it is a lovely nude.

This is a real creamy texture and it doesn’t dry out on my lips, I find that it is a real disappointment when lip products create a drying effect on my lips but this definitely wasn’t a disappointment.

fullsizeoutput_5abfullsizeoutput_5b1

I want to try it

24.

Lastly number 24 was a little mirror from Lottie London. Which is so adorable and it happens to be in one of my favourite colours. I love this as you can never have enough mirrors, its essential to keep one in your handbag.

fullsizeoutput_5aa

Buy Me

Anyway I hope you enjoyed the blog post today.

If you’ve tried any of these products let me know, Id love to hear everyone else opinions.
