Hello My Lovelies,
How are you all doing?
I’ve been a little quiet on here as my Mental Health hit a bit of a rocky patch. I’m sinking a little deeper into my depression and missing Jay isn’t helping either although, I’ve finally plucked up the motivation to write a post and it’s about something that has really been picking at me lately.
Do you ever have that moment where you think you’re not going to cut it as a blogger? Whether it’s because you’re not getting the views you want or your DA isn’t rising or people just don’t interact with your blog as much as you would like.
I hate spending 24/7 on social media … Does that make me a bad blogger?
Now don’t get me wrong, I love sharing my content on social media and being in awe of my favourite bloggers like ‘Gemma Louise’, ‘Luke Catleugh’, ‘see the stars’ & ‘The fashion blogger’ as their content is just incredible and they are all such lovely bloggers.
I really do my best to keep up but with working full time, my mental health (which I would class as another full-time job), trying to improve my fitness and having a social life, I really struggle to juggle everything.
The new algorithm on Instagram has got me feeling a little deflated just like I know it has a lot of other bloggers. Lower engagement, photos not showing up in our feeds, the more followers the higher the posts. Don’t worry I’m not going to turn this into a rant about the Instagram algorithm but you can see where it fits in right?
On a day to day basis, I am coming home to notifications after notifications from blogger chats that I have joined to try and improve my engagement thanks to Instagram’s unwelcomed friend. I love being in these chats, as I find it does help and you meet some other lovely bloggers who share the same interests. A lot of the chats I’m in aren’t strict and you can share as much love as you want.
Now I know a lot of bloggers in these chats tend to comment on posts which I absolutely love, however, I myself don’t always have the time to post on every photo! Although I will always like them! I’m even slow with responding to the comments on my photos let alone the other way round.
I don’t like going to London … Does that make me a bad blogger?
I wish I was one of these people who wanted to go to London every weekend to take photos but my anxiety and I will fight against it. I do absolutely love bloggers who take photos in London, my best friend Paige being one of them although she can take amazing photos wherever she is! I so wish I could have a feed as amazing as hers, she is deffo one of my biggest blogger inspirations!
We have said that she will have to take me out there when she’s having a shoot day so I become more confident in London.
I still haven’t found my Instagram theme yet … Does that make me a bad blogger?
I have been trying so bloody hard with my Instagram feed lately and I’m just finding that the harder I try to stick to a theme the further away it looks from that said theme. Does anyone else feel like this? Its gone from an orange tone to a red to whatever it’s at now. I just can’t quite put my finger on it but I just can’t nail a theme!
I cant keep to a schedule … Does that make me a bad blogger?
There have been so many times where I have tried sticking to a schedule and it comes back to me being too busy or having a loss of motivation, sometimes I just don’t have anything scheduled.
Now I know a lot of bloggers stick to a schedule but I don’t think its too big a deal with social media nowadays, there are so many different ways of notifying your followers when you’re working on a new post or when a post has just gone live. Obviously, I still think sticking to a schedule is better for your blog but if you cant I don’t think it will harm it in any way as long as you publish the post going active over your social media channels.
I suck at scheduling tweets … Does that make me a bad blogger?
One of the ways I get the most traffic to my blog is by scheduling tweets and yet again this is something I suck at doing but I think this is just a tedious job for me its one of my least favourite things to do, but this will be beneficial for anyone to do as a blogger.
Anyway, I think I’ve rambled on for long enough … there are certain things that may not be your strong point when it comes to blogging, but by gosh, if you have the passion you can do anything!
Stay Weird … X
