Hello My Lovelies,
Who is ready for my bleekmas?! This week I am planning on Blogging every day, most days with a Christmas themed blog post, todays will probably be the least festive of them all.
I have got a mini haul for you guys!! By the way when I say Mini I mean absolutely tiny … but it still counts … right?
I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping on Boots when I saw I had £15 of loyalty points to spend. Obviously, because it’s Christmas I thought I might as well treat myself for being such a regular customer with Boots.
A few weeks back I saw Paige tweet about a new make-up brand called makeup obsession, I really wanted to try it but I didn’t have the money at the time.
So far I can’t say I have many issues with the brand itself. The prices are amazing, so is the packaging and the range is fairly wide for a newish brand. The only thing I’m not a fan of is how the palettes open, I don’t know about anyone else but I struggle to open them.
Make-up obsession have palettes that you can create and make your own. They do a range of products including highlighters, contour shades, eyeshadows and of course blushes.
The best thing about this brand is that you do not have to purchase a palette if you don’t want, as the products come in individual casings, which is so handy if you only want to purchase one or two products.
Although there is a rose gold palette, which I could not resist!!!! This palette is one of the largest and it holds 12 products.
You can get the palettes in all different colours and sizes and if you spend over £10 (I think), you receive a free black palette, when shopping with Boots that fits 6 products, which I think is a great little promotional deal.
I brought 1 palette, 1 highlighter and 2 eyeshadow colours, as well as receiving the free palette. All of these products were brought using my points and all I paid for was the postage.
I got the eyeshadows in Rare (E107) and Scene (E110).
I absolutely love the shade rare because it is a gorgeous festive colour that is very pigmented, I don’t believe the fall out with this shadow is out of the ordinary, there is a small amount but not enough to change my opinion on the product.
Unfortunately, the next shadow, scene is not very pigmented at all. I understand it is a very pale colour as it Is, however the pigmentation is disappointing.
Lastly, I got the highlighter in Moon (H104).
So far this is my favourite highlight. It is a gorgeous colour and the pigment is amazing. However, I would suggest being very careful when using this product if you’re not into looking like a giant disco ball, which may I say I love!!! As a lot will go a long way with this product.
So I definitely think you should all try this brand, it’s so affordable and pretty good quality for the price.
I received another parcel today from Superdrug, which I was so excited about. I brought two Sleek liquid lipsticks and a Make up Revolution palette.
This palette is the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever seen. From the first few swatches the pigment is also pretty amazing. It is a mixture of highlights, blushes and contour colours. I actually brought this at a reduced price of just £10.
The Sleek Liquid Lipsticks are in the shades velvet slipper and shabby chic which I am so excited to try. The colours are just amazing and I love the finish they give.
Stay Weird … X
