Hello My Lovelies,
I hope you’re all good, I think I’ve had one of the worst days … like ever!
Anyways hopefully a little bit of blogging will help cheer me up, I have ideas coming from everywhere but since jay left, my mind has kind of been elsewhere and I’ve struggled to get myself motivated to do anything, literally ANYTHING!
It’s all good though he’ll be home in around 3/4 months, for a fortnight and then he’s heading back for another 3 months, but we can do it. As they say ‘Distance makes the Heart Grow Fonder’ even if it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Enough of my babbling now, if you follow me on Insta you will know that I posted a poll a couple of weeks back asking whether you want a makeup look or a palette review and as theres no makeup look post on my blog, this one obviously won!
If you’ve been living under a rock or you just don’t watch much youtube sophdoesnails is a beauty youtuber/vlogger who has just come out with a highlighter & eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Makeup Revolution and let me just say they’re both pretty amazing!
The eyeshadow palette retails at £10.00 and it comes with a selection of 24 autumnal shades. Burnt oranges, golds and greens, some matte and some glitter. How can you go wrong?
I want to keep this post real so I will say, it bugs me a little how the palette has mixed all the colours up, I love it when a palette looks tidy with the same colours next to each other.
When I first saw the palettes I assumed they were in a very light pink packaging, but I was wrong! I’m really not too keen on the colour of the packaging as it is more of a washed out yellow colour, now don’t get my wrong these are my only negatives of the palette, other than that its slowly become one of my favourite palettes.
I feel like for the price, the shadows have a brilliant formula, the pigment is AMAZING and also it is super blendable.
As with most palettes, there is a little fall out, but I generally think its impossible for palettes not to have some sort of fall out.
Ive taken some swatches so you guys can see the beautiful pigmentation.
I think one of my favourite makeup products is definitely highlighter, although mascara will always be my #1.
I can’t say that Ive found myself to be reaching for this palette much, but thats just because I have others which happened to be my favourites, but I don’t have anything against the palette!!
Although, this palette is definitely more aesthetically pleasing as it has more of a colour pattern. The formula is again pretty good for the price of £8.00, although what I do find strange is that some of the highlighters are actually quite creamy.
I feel like the palette includes a wide range of colours to cater for different skin tones, which is always a plus!
My favourite out the highlighters are 5 & 6 and from the eyeshadow palette Strawberry Sweets and Grow Old are my go to shades. Let me know your favourites in the comments below!
